The heavy duty casing and most of the internal printing components are made from metal ensuring that the printer will give many years of use in the most demanding of environments. The main advantages of this model are the large 8 print width and the high resolution 300dpi (dots per inch) print head. The printer has parallel and serial connectivity with USB, Ethernet and WiFi available as an option.This is a Thermal Transfer' label printer and can use either direct thermal (heat sensitive/no ribbon needed) labels or thermal transfer (ribbon required) labels.
